Integrating iPads or tablets into your library services – ALA

If you’ve been thinking about how you might use iPads or tablets in you school or public library, this presentation shares a raft of practical ideas. The concept of embedded or roving librarians is one that is of particular interest to many of us just now, and an idea shared here is that the mobile librarian could use a tablet to advantage in the following ways:

  • being more visible and identifiable as the expert on the floor
  • being connected – to colleagues, the web, databases
  • while moving around the library, able to be where service is needed
